Sophomore year cont. and finished

WELL what a year! So now for the dumping of my art (:

A semester of photos-
This year, I started (what hopefully will be) my photography minor. It was a vary basic intro course on how to use the camera, set up compositions, etc.

The first assignment was just to experiment/ understand the camera (aperture shifts, shutter speed and different points of view). The following are images from those first assignments.

My next project was to take pictures at multiple times a day (7am, 10am, noon, 3pm, 7pm and dark) to learn more about lighting. The following are my favorite of each.

Project number four was an interrupted landscapes, and it was my favorite assignment.

The subject for project four was an environmental portrait. I focused mine on the different majors.

(Anna C. Illustration)

(??? Film)

(Jacob K. Motion Design)

(John T. Animation)

(??? Film)

(Taylor P. Illustration)

For our final, we had a photo essay assignment. We had the option of doing a narrative or a documentary. I chose to do a documentary on two of my friends, Dee G. and Sara G. My topic was them as a couple. I chose to use sound and have them speak over the images instead of just text.

I'm not sure how good the quality of the video is, but the following are the pictures I used for the project.

Sophomore Year thus far

* Thumbnails, roughs, paintings and touch ups will follow soon*

I have a media class, and our first assignment was a pen and ink master copy. I chose a James Montgomery Flagg piece. This was my first time using pen and ink.

The same time as my media master copy, my illustration class was assigned a pen and ink master copy as well. This time I chose an Abbey piece. This was my second pen and ink.

My media class' first official project was to draw a fish (fish being used loosely) and create our own pen and ink texture. This was my finished product and my third pen and ink.

As an in-class illustration assignment, we were allowed to choose a story (I chose a news article about a 9 month old tattooed baby) to illustrate.
